Iron boss: No more transfers

The Iron have won just one of their five games since returning to the Championship and Adkins has previously expressed a desire to bolster his defensive options. But after agreeing to keep West Ham loanee Jordan Spence until the new year, Adkins is not expecting to oversee any more transactions. "Nothing whatsoever will happen," said the United boss. "I am sure agents are going to be busy trying to move their players on - but we will not be involved. "Once the transfer window closes, then we can settle down and just concentrate on playing football. "But the emergency loan window is open again in a week's time and for clubs like ourselves there are still players out there to look at if we need them."
