Incorrect info led to ticketing error

The Iron's General Manager David Beeby has spoken to Iron-Bru.net regarding a ticketing mix up ahead of the FA Cup 1st round game with Grimsby.

The club had advertised tickets for the game at Blundell Park would be available until 4pm on the Friday afternoon, meaning some fans  missed out when they went off sale earlier in the afternoon.

Beeby told Iron-Bru.net: "Unfortunately the information put out regarding tickets being available until 4pm on Friday was incorrect.

"4pm is of course our normal opening hours but away tickets usually go off sale at 2:30pm on the Friday before a Saturday game.

"We realise the importance of ensuring accurate information is made available to fans and we’re working hard to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

He confirmed the reason tickets go off sale on a Friday at 2.30pm for away fixtures is to allow a reconciliation to be completed and to allow the home club to make "final preparations for food, drink, programmes, stewards and gatemen in the away end".

David has kindly agreed to take part in a live chat with Iron-Bru.net users an will be on hand to answer any SUFC related questions. Details of this will be online in due course as soon as a date is confirmed.
