Halifax friendly for Iron
Scunthorpe United will head to Blue Square North side FC Halifax Town as part of their pre-season preparations. The game, announced by the non-league side on Tuesday, will be played at The Shay on Saturday July 16. It will be the first meeting between the sides since FC Halifax Town were formed in 2008, rising from the ashes of the professional side that went bust. It is unclear what strength side the Iron will send to Yorkshire.
