GP inspection on Sat as games are postponed

Scunthorpe's game against Walsall on Saturday was still expected to go ahead, as cold weather brought disruption to the weekend's Football League fixtures.

The Glanford Park pitch was due to be inspected on Saturday morning at 9.30am  by match referee David Webb.Friday morning brought news of several postponements in the lower leagues, with a number of further inspections due throughout the day.The League One game between Bournemouth and Exeter was among the first to be called off, meaning should the Iron win on Saturday they will climb at least two places.Notts County were due to inspect the Meadow Lane pitch at 1pm ahead of their game against Stevenage.in League Two, Gillingham v Hereford, Rotherham v Torquay and Morecambe v Dagenhand & Redbridge were also called off before midday.
