Gordon doubtful for Preston clash
Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough has a major doubt over rookie defender Ben Gordon for the crunch home clash with relegation rivals Preston.
The on-loan Chelsea left-back aggravated a hamstring injury during Saturday's 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Leicester and was replaced at half-time by Eddie Nolan.
Midfielder Sam Togwell missed out altogether against the Foxes with a hamstring problem and will be assessed.
Fellow midfielder Michael O'Connor has been sidelined since January with a knee problem but returned to training last week and may come into contention after missing out at the weekend.
Goalkeeper Joe Murphy (ankle), midfielder Garry Thompson (groin), and right-back Cliff Byrne (back) could remain sidelined as the Iron bid to bounce back from Saturday`s defeat.
