Double swoop pleases Iron boss
Adkins announced the capture of midfield duo O'Connor and Wright on Monday as he builds his squad ahead of the Iron's return to the Championship.
"I'm very pleased to bring in Josh Wright," he told the club's official website. "He's a talented football player who we've been aware of for a while.
"We've been trying to bring young, hungry players into the building and he fits that bill. We've been aware of him since last season and I'm pleased to complete his signing."
Wright has move to Glanford Park after being released by Charlton while O'Connor has signed a three-year deal after joining from Crewe.
"Michael O'Connor has come in and we're delighted with him. He's 21, he's young and hungry and involved in the Northern Ireland set-up," Adkins added.
