Defensive worries for Iron boss
Adkins has been dogged by injuries to his back line since the Iron made their return to the Championship, with Rob Jones the latest to fall after suffering a head injury against Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.[LNB]Jones is now doubtful for Saturday's clash with QPR, joining Kenny Milne and Andrew Wright on the sidelines.[LNB]Adkins also has a slight concern over David Mirfin, who made his first appearance of the season in Tuesday's Carling Cup win at Swansea after a persistent ankle injury.[LNB]"Rob was back in the building on Monday but is going to need three or four days to settle down," Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "That makes him doubtful for Saturday."[LNB]Mirfin is confident of making the clash, though, adding: "I hope there will be no reaction and I will be okay for Saturday."[LNB][LNB]
