Daws has enjoyed new role

Scunthorpe caretaker boss Tony Daws admits his spell in the hot-seat has opened his eyes to the stresses and strains of football management. Daws was placed in temporary charge following the recent axing of Ian Baraclough and secured the services of Reading left-back Marcus Williams and Leeds striker Ramon Nunez on loan. He has relished the role but admits his workload has increased significantly during his interim in spell in charge of the Championship strugglers. Daws said: "You literally do not get a minute from 8am in the morning when the phone first starts ringing until 11 o'clock at night when you are wanting to go to bed. "It is a really time-consuming and difficult job but I must say I have loved every minute of it, it has been really good."
