New Scunthorpe recruit Chris Dagnall is confident he can make his mark in the npower Championship this season. Dagnall, 24, has spent the past few campaigns at Rochdale and last term his 20 goals helped them to win promotion from League Two. Now he is making the step up into the second tier and the Liverpool-born frontman is hoping to be named in the starting line-up at Reading on Saturday. Dagnall told Press Association Sport: "I am confident I can step up from League Two and make a mark in the Championship. "People keep saying to me Scunthorpe are favourites to go down but we`ve got a manager here with so much positivity. "I`ve already seen how that rubs off on the players and that can only help us this season."
