Scunthorpe striker Chris Dagnall is delighted his hard work during pre-season has not gone unnoticed by boss Nigel Adkins. The 24-year-old is gearing up for life in the npower Championship after joining the Iron on a Bosman free transfer from Rochdale earlier this summer. He is acclimatising well to his new surroundings at Glanford Park and scored his first goal for the club in Saturday's 3-0 friendly win at Winterton Rangers. Dagnall told the club's official website: "The fitness levels are where they need to be so I'm more than happy. "I've moved to nice house not far away from the club and it feels good. We've worked very hard over the last few weeks and I'm sure I will continue to get fitter as the weeks go by. "It was good to see the manager has praised my work-rate too. I said when I came to the club that I would always give 100% and it's nice people notice it."
