Byrne expects strong Iron showing

The Iron were surprisingly beaten by Luton in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at the start of April, but return to the national stadium to take on Millwall. And Byrne, whose goal two minutes from the end of the regular season earned them their spot in the top six, admits he would have taken promotion over a cup success at the start of the campaign. "In the blink of an eye," he said. "Our soul aim was to get promoted this season. The cup run was a nice added bonus, nice to go to Wembley, not so nice to lose. "We'd take promotion hands down over any cup run and that's the way we're approaching this. We're getting a second bite of the cherry and we're not going to let this one pass us by."
