Iron chairman Peter Swann is pushing through a deal which will see Lincoln defender Andrew Boyce join the club tomorrow.

It is understood the Iron are set to take the centre-back on loan initially before making the deal permanent in January after triggering a release clause in his contract.Despite the sacking of Brian Laws yesterday, Swann has been locked in talks with City counterpart Bob Dorrian and a deal is nearly complete.

Boyce scored an own goal in Lincoln's 5-0 A Cup defeat at Plymouth last night.
