Boss waits on duo
Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough will check on the fitness of two players ahead of the home clash with Nottingham Forest.
The unnamed duo are suffering from illnesses and will be assessed but the defensive trio of David Mirfin (foot), Niall Canavan (knee) and Michael Raynes (thigh) will definitely miss out.
Baraclough is hopeful Mirfin will return to action in the next fortnight, while midfielder Michael Collins returns to contention after shaking off a shoulder injury.
Winger Garry Thompson could be in line to make his first start since August after Baraclough revealed he is in his thinking following a long-term groin injury lay-off.
The Iron have lost five matches in succession to slide to the brink of the relegation zone.
