Baraclough waiting on trio

Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough is waiting to learn how long injured trio of Garry Thompson, Rob Jones and Cliff Byrne will remain sidelined. The Iron were missing Thompson (groin) and Byrne (back) for Saturday's FA Cup third-round defeat to Everton, while Jones (back) was substituted at half-time with the problem which had ruled him out of the previous two games. The three players will be assessed in training this week ahead of this weekend's trip to Leeds. Baraclough said: "We have to assess how Garry's groin area is. It's not good that it's broken down again. "Rob's injury is to do with his sciatic nerve - from his lower back down into his leg. If that carries on then it's a concern. It's a similar case with Cliff Byrne as well."
