Baraclough: There was a huge gulf

Ian Baraclough admitted his side were low on confidence during the 4-0 thrashing at Leeds. Scunthorpe have now lost nine of their last 10 games in all competitions and boss Baraclough admitted his side were given a lesson. He said: "I thought there was quite a large gulf obviously, with my team perhaps a little bit low on confidence. Simon's team were very, very good I thought. "I thought they were a team that showed that they are competing with the best and have got every chance of going into the Premiership if they carry on in this vein of form. "The first 20 minutes we made it difficult, neither team got into any pattern. That was the idea we had going into the game. One slip from a defender gave Sanchez Watt a sight of goal from 22 yards and he was very, very clinical. "I thought the finishing was exemplary and that comes from a team that are scoring decent goals regularly."
