Baraclough: Iron dealt psychological blow

Scunthorpe boss Ian Baraclough believes Tuesday's thrilling victory over relegation rivals Sheffield United laid down an emphatic marker of his side's survival pedigree. The Iron leapfrogged their opponents in the table as a result of the 3-2 triumph and have now taken seven points from their last three games. Baraclough feels the fine run of form, in particular the victory against Micky Adams' side when his men came from two goals down, sends out a message. He said: "This one result will not have a bearing either way. "I am sure Micky Adams will say the same, but psychologically it is a massive blow for us to strike. "This group we've put together have gelled and don't want to taste defeat."
