Ian Baraclough is confident his Scunthorpe side can avoid relegation from the Championship on the back of their home form, despite going five months without a win at Glanford Park until February. Saturday's 1-0 victory over Swansea City meant the Iron have taken 10 points out of 12 from their last four outings in North Lincolnshire, with wins over Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United and the Swans as well as a goalless draw with Derby County. It is a dramatic reversal in form as prior to the visit of Forest on February 16, the only home league win was a 3-0 success over Crystal Palace in August. That was followed by eight defeats and three draws. "Our home form is going to be key for us now. We know now we can beat anyone here," said Baraclough. "We have just beaten the team that I believe is the best in the Championship. Swansea are a side who like to dominate possession and can cut teams to ribbons. "We had a game plan to try and stop them. I know it might not have been very entertaining for our fans, but it got us the result we needed. It was certainly not our best performance of the season, but maybe was our best victory." Brendan Rodgers, the Swansea boss, hoped the loss would not affect his side's push for automatic promotion. "We always knew Scunthorpe was going to be a difficult game because they are a team fighting for their lives," he said. "They had done well in their previous three home games and we totally understood it was going to be a tough game. We will keep fighting until the end of the season and see where we are then."
