Adkins will continue to bargain hunt

Boss Nigel Adkins has only a small budget at his disposal as the Iron prepare for life in the Championship and chief scout Lee Turnbull insists their recruitment policy will not change. He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "We're always looking for players who can perform higher than the level we're playing at. When we brought Martyn Woolford and Gary Hooper in we viewed them as Championship players even though we were plying our trade in League One. "Because of the way the club have been working in recruitment over the last few years, we've done well in unearthing one or two players on a decent price and selling them on for a large profit. "But we always look not just at the level we're playing at, but above that as well." He added: "We'll continue to look at bringing in players with potential as I would put it, rather than those who are tried and tested."
