Adkins talks up play-off chances
Joe Anyinsah put Carlisle in front 19 minutes in, but striker Paul Hayes denied Carlisle all three points to leave the Iron just a point behind sixth-placed Tranmere with a game in hand.
Adkins said: "I regard it as a point gained. We had chances to win it but credit to both sets of players because the conditions were very difficult.
"We were disappointed because we wanted three points, but we have 10 games to go and seven at home so lets believe we can win the games in front of us and there is enough about the players to do that."
