Adkins issues challenge to Forte
Forte's time with the Iron looked to be coming to an end last season when he was loaned out to Notts County but he led United's attack at Selhurst Park and scored his first goal of the season as Palace were stunned by Adkins' side
"Jonathan has got the ability to do what he did week in, week out for us," Adkins told his club's official website.
"He led the line on his own, did what was required for the team and played very well for us.
"Hopefully he can keep it up because he was certainly an asset for us at Palace."
