Adkins hails 'great' Iron display
First-half goals from Grant McCann and Gary Hooper gave the Iron three points and Adkins was overjoyed with his side's efforts.[LNB]"It was a great result for us and a great performance," he said. "We are a team that can always score goals but I was delighted this time that we learned how to close a game and keep a clean sheet.[LNB]"We would be right up there at the top of the table had we not shot ourselves in the foot so many times by conceding poor goals.[LNB]"We are still in the frame but there is a long way to go."[LNB]He added: "We are competing against much bigger clubs but we have a great squad of players with a terrific attitude."[LNB][LNB]
