Youl Mawene has played for Dons' manager Craig Brown and is happy to do so again Craig Brown has made his first summer for Aberdeen by signing French defender Youl Mawene. The Aberdeen manager knows the Frenchmen from their time together at Preston but he also had spells with Derby and Greek outfit Panserraikos. Mawene has signed a pre-contract agreement for now and will officially join the Dons next week. He said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Craig at Preston. He is a fantastic coach and really sold Aberdeen as a club and a city to me when I was on trial here recently. After my experiences in Greece, I can't wait to get started."
