Pat Fenlon wants to kill speculation that David Wotherspoon will be leaving Easter Road

Hibs manager Pat Fenlon insists David Wotherspoon is still very much part of his plans for the future after the midfielder was linked with a move to Sheffield United. Wotherspoon was left out of Hibs' Scottish Cup final defeat by Hearts last season, which prompted speculation the under 21 international could be made available for sale this summer. He started only 20 games in the SPL last season, but Fenlon is confident Wotherspoon will enjoy a more positive next campaign at Easter Road.  Fenlon said: "He is very much in my plans. Last year wasn't a great one for him but I hope he comes back refreshed and wants to prove a point. He's shown what he's capable of doing but I feel he just needs to have a little bit more confidence in himself. He is such a good lad and his attitude to training is top class."
