Ian Murray is new to the management game so is please to have somebody he knows well around.

New Dumbarton manager Ian Murray returned to one of his old clubs to get some backroom support. Former Easter Road colleague Colin McLelland has signed up to act as the First Division side's sports scientist. McLelland left Easter Road last year to start his own company after eight years service as a club physio. Murray is delighted to bring a familiar face in to work alongside him. He said: "Colin has already started work by putting the players through a fitness test so that he can determine how they can get the benefit of his experience."  Murray has also signed someone for the on-field side of things in the shape of striker Marc McCusker. The former Hearts, Stranraer, Clyde and Albion Rovers player has joined the Sons until the end of the season as a free agent after being released by Queen of the South in the summer. Murray said: "Marc gives me options up front so I am looking at this move as an extra Christmas present." McCusker said: "I have been training with Dumbarton for a couple of weeks and I'm pleased to become a Dumbarton player. I'm looking forward to helping the team get to a better league position."
