Will Ye No Come Back Again

It will be an odd feeling for Stuart McCall to have the majority of an Ibrox crowd baying for his blood Stuart McCall fully expects to be considered as "the enemy" when he takes his Motherwell side to Ibrox on Saturday. McCall was a huge favourite of the Rangers fans when he played in midfield during the successful 1990s. However, things are a little different this time as he will be sitting in the opposition dugout planning the downfall of his former club.  McCall said: "Managing a side against Rangers was something that I could never have envisaged before coming to Motherwell. It will be slightly strange going back to Ibrox but you just get on with it. I am there to do a job and that is to get three points. I am not expecting any great reception, I am there as the enemy, as an opponent. First and foremost I am there to do a job for Motherwell. The Rangers fans are there to watch their team. They will be a little disappointed by the way things went last week in the Old Firm game and they will be there to cheer Rangers on to a victory, that's what they will want. I am hoping that we can put in a performance that can get us something." McCall is facing a defensive crisis for the trip to Govan. The former Bradford manager said: "I am disappointed that we are not going there with a full-strength side, we have three or four injuries. Steven Saunders is suspended but would have been out anyway with a hamstring injury. Steven Hammell and Keith Lasley are both very doubtful and we are still waiting on Stephen Craigan after he came off against Scotland with a hamstring strain. If you look at the first game I took charge of Motherwell (in January), Steven Hammell, Steven Saunders, Craigan and Mark Reynolds - who has left the club - were my starting back four. It looks like I am going to be without any of them so it will be tough." Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is ScottishFitba Net
