Stuart McCall wanst to build on the 2-0 win over Celtic but which version of his Motherwell side should he put out? Stuart McCall has a significant selection dilemma after his under-strength side beat Celtic. The Motherwell manager was without Stephen Craigan (suspended) and Steven Saunders and Steve Jones (both injured), while Francis Jeffers was rested after starting three games in nine days. But Motherwell, with youngsters Shaun Hutchinson and Gavin Gunning impressive in central defence, secured a 2-0 win to give McCall some major decisions ahead of today's trip to Inverness. Only Jones is still unavailable, with a hamstring strain, but McCall might not immediately bring back skipper Craigan. He said: "When we lost four players after Christmas and we had a few injuries, people were getting in not because they were playing really well, but just because we were struggling for numbers. But not now, I have a lot of options. Stevie Hammell played exceptionally well since I came here but Gavin Gunning came in when he was injured and took his chance. I had to leave Hammy out, he was patient and got back in (against Celtic) and played really well. It's good competition and it's what managers want."Gunning moved inside from left-back against Celtic and McCall could continue with the on-loan Blackburn player beside Hutchinson. The Motherwell manager said: "We got him in as a left centre-half after Reynolds departed but also because we needed cover at left-back. When he has been out on loan in the last couple of seasons, he has played the majority of his football as a left-back, but he sees himself as a centre-back and has played there for Blackburn reserves and that's where I saw him play. He has shown he is comfy in both positions and even playing further on." Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba Net
