The Pars are hoping the SFA will look kindly on their appeal on behalf of John Potter Dunfermline have appealed against the red card shown to defender John Potter in Saturday's win at St Johnstone. Potter was sent off in the second half for a foul on Francisco Sandaza, with the subsequent penalty saved as the Pars ran out 1-0 winners. Manager Jim McIntyre hopes the sending off will be overturned. He said: "We feel as if we've got a good case but it depends on how they interpret the incident. There are grounds for an appeal as we feel Jason Thomson was going to get there to cover."
