Weir's Way Looks Back

Jim Weir wants to run the rule over players who are back from injury before the season starts again. Brechin City pre-season training will see the return of a couple of familiar faces to Glebe Park. Manager Jim Weir has invited former Morton midfielder, Alex Walker in for training along with centre half David White who was released by Brechin earlier this year after a double leg break. Walker had an injury hit loan spell at the club last season so Weir wants a fresh look at the pair. Weir said: "We will have a look at both of them during our pre-season and we will assess their fitness and take things from there. Alex's time here was badly affected by injury where as plenty of people know all about David." Weir is also hoping that a third old face will be enticed back to the club as well. He wants to bring former favourite Darren Smith back to the club from Raith Rovers. Weir said: "Darren has promised to give me an answer as soon as he comes back from his holidays. I am sure he will have other offers but we would like to see him back at Brechin." Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
