Ayr United are ambitious and have added some experience to their squad

Ayr United have signed former Scotland striker Kevin Kyle until the middle of January 2014. The experienced Kyle, whose previous clubs include Sunderland, Rangers, Hearts and Kilmarnock, has played twice as a trialist for Mark Roberts' League One side.Kyle said: "Mark has been interested in me for a while and I’ve been grateful for his interest. I’m working hard on getting myself fully fit and once I reach that level, Ayr will hopefully benefit from it. The aim is to go up with Rangers and if we were to do that it would be a great achievement for the club and the town in general. I’ve signed until the middle of January but, if I was to get injured, the club have an option of terminating the contract. I offered to include that in the deal as I wouldn’t want a part-time club to be stuck with someone who isn’t fit to play."
