Scotland Women's international football calender starts in February with a bang in America

As part of preparation for the Cyprus Cup competition in March, Scotland's Women's A team will be going back to America to take on the Olympic champions. Coach Anna Signeul's side have been drawn against England, Italy and New Zealand at the annual tournament on the holiday isle, with full details of the games to be announced later. The tournament games will be used as preparation for the qualifiers for the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015; the draw for which is due to take place early in the new year. Scotland's game against the USA will be played at EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida on 9 February with a 5 pm (local time) kick-off. The opposition are currently coached by Glasgow-born Tom Sermanni; the  former Australia coach who is taking over from Pia Sundhage, who led USA to the FIFA Women's World Cup Final in 2011 and to Olympic gold in 2008 and 2012. Sermanni has a lot to live up to so will want to enjoy a win in his first game in charge and will present a significant challenge to Scotland.
