Kevin Kyle is worried that his Hearts and football future hangs in the balance following a setback in his recovery from hip surgery. Kyle has has not played since January and has managed to inflame his hip while doing a stretching exercise during his rehabilitation last month. He had targeted the derby game with Hibs as his come-back appearance but he now has no idea when, or even if, he will be back playing. Kyle said: "It is a career-threatening injury I've had and, yes, my career is threatened. I had a setback four or five weeks ago and right at this moment I have no idea when I will be back. It is a case of waiting for it to settle down before I start to try it all again. I have had an injection with a lubricant to put into the joint and it has helped. The surgeons have told me I should get back and that I need to be patient. But if it all ends next month or next week, then I will feel I've played for some good clubs, won caps and had exciting moments."
