Trial By Playing

The trend set by Clyde of finding players by an open trial has taken off with Elgin City. Elgin City have set up a trial day to help increase the number of players available for manager Ross Jack’s squad. The Borough Briggs manager will put players through their paces at a training base near Elgin alongside present first team players on the morning of Saturday, 25 June 25 before setting up game games in the afternoon. Jack said: "We are interested in speaking to anyone over the age of 17 with experience of SPL, SFL, Highland League or Junior football that believe they can add value to the pool at Elgin already." Anyone interested in putting their name forward must contact the club and supply a CV stating what level of football they have or currently play at.
