The Only Way Is Up
It must be soul destroying to end the season at the bottom of the league but it does give you a great incentive to improve.
East Stirling manager John Coughlin knows that no mater how well his side do in their opening game at Hampden, it is where they are at the end of the Third Division campaign that counts. In the last two seasons East Stirling have looked up to every other league team in the county as they finished bottom the the league. Queen’s Park at the National Stadium is always a challenge for the start for the season and Coughlin is looking for much better this time out.The Shire head coach said: "You always enjoy going to Hampden as it is a great place to play football but this season is not about where we start, and how well we do on that day, but where we finish. Our games there last season showed how inconsistent we were as won 2-1 and then lost 5-1. We have a bit more experience in our ranks this term and we are looking for greater consistency and a higher placed finish this time out."
