Dumbarton are expanding their influence into Africa Dumbarton have donated a set of strips to a charity that looks after orphans in Malawi. There are many links between Scotland and Malawi following the training of ex-Premier Dr Hastings Banda as a Scottish minister and sport is always a good way to break down barriers. The strips will be delivered  by Lara Wilson, daughter of Dumbarton director Ian Wilson, and 18 other students and three members of staff from Ashville College in Harrogate. They will be making their tenth bi-annual trip to support the Open Arms charity who aim to help orphaned infants achieve a better life. The donated kit will be given to the local village football team and a game will be arranged against the students. The main aim of this trip is the building a sun shelter and improving hygiene facilities at local schools. Lara said: "I want to thank Dumbarton for donating the kit, which I am sure will bring a smile to the children's faces."
