Injury is no respector of age

Alloa defender Fraser Forrest has had to retire from the game, due to a back injury, aged just 28. The former Stenhousemuir player recently made his 100th top team start for the Wasps, against East Stirlingshire on 2 January. Since then he has been released from his contract after being advised to call time on his playing career. Forrest signed for the Recreation Park side in the summer of 2005 and returned to the club this season after a year at Junior side Bo’ness. A Wasps’ spokesperson said: "Fraser has been suffering from back pain and has been advised to call it a day. He has never given us anything less than 100% and you will struggle to find a more honest player. We would like to thank him for his commitment whenever called upon."
