Team Improvement Needs Cash

All teams need freshening up and funds are required to allow that to happen

Ross County manager Derek Adams is looking for cash to be his Christmas present from the club so he can indulge in some retail therapy in the January transfer market. While County have acquitted them selves reasonably well since promotion to the SPL, Adams is looking to recruit players of a 'higher calibre' to improve the quality of his squad. His current squad have secured a five-point cushion on the top-flight drop zone. Adams is, however, aware of the need to seek continuous improvement. As Adams is ambitious to increase that gap, he is looking for substantial funds required if the club are to push on among Scottish football's elite. Adams said: "We'll be looking to take in players in January but we'll have to offload too. The budget we have isn't big enough to carry more. I will have to speak to the chairman and see if we can get substantially more money. We need to move on and take in a higher calibre of player. We are working with the lowest budget in the SPL and if we are going to move on we need to have better funding."
