Support Your Local Hospital

Published: 06 Feb 2010 - 09:11:31

East Stirling are putting their money where their mouth is and raising cash for Yorkhill Sick Kids Hospital East Stirlingshire are continuing to support Yorkhill Sick Kids Hospital and will raise even more money on Wednesday by offering free entry to the game against Elgin. How will this work? The club have decided to allow all fans free entry to the game and ask them to donate the money saved to the hospital instead. The club will have collecting buckets inside the ground asking people to donate the money they would normally spend at the turnstile to Yorkhill. The tie-up between the club and the hospital is not new with Shire's replica third strip displaying the hospital's logo, with a proportion of their sales going to the hospital. There is also some personal investment from Shire vice-chairman, Spencer Fearn who will be running five half marathons this year to raise funds.
