Oban Saints must be good hosts when club are determined to be part of their tournament

Albion Rovers manager James Ward is pleased to have managed to get his side involved in the prestigious Oban tournament as part of their pre-season preparations. He moved quickly to get his side invited to the tournament that will take place on Saturday, 9 July. Oban Saints acted as hosts last year and welcomed sides from St. Johnstone, Hamilton Accies, Alloa, Hearts and Dundee United last season, however the Wasps have dropped out of the round-robin tournament this time around. The newly appointed  Cliftonhill manager said: "I know from my time at Alloa that it is a terrific day at Oban and a fantastic start to pre-season preparations. I am delighted that we were able to get a place in the tournament as they are much sought after."
