More history made during the Scottish Cup second round Stranraer were the unexpected top scorers in the weekend Scottish Cup matches. The man who edits the Wee Red Book has a new entry to make next season. Stranraer recorded a club record 9-0 win over St Cuthbert's in their Stair Park SFA Cup 2nd Round tie beating their previous top score of 7-0 v Brechin City in a 1965 League game. Man of many clubs Armand One (say it "Own-ee") was one of two players who scored a hat trick (Malcolm 3, Agnew, Moore and Winter the other scorers) and the big front man wrote another wee bit of lower league history 4 years after being in the first Cowdenbeath team to win a league title since 1939. Stranraer have lost only once in the league this season and in the end the gap between top of Division 3 and non-league proved wider than first thought. The 401 people who saw the game can boast they saw the Blues biggest Scottish Cup day since they lost just 1-0 at Parkhead to a Celtic side on the way to a centenary double in 1988.A mighty 57 goals were scored in 15 ties in Round 2.
