Alloa have signed former Dundee United midfielder Gavin Stokes who was a Scotland international at under-16 and under-17 level before being released by the Tannadice side. Stokes returned to his native Glasgow to play for Knightswood Juveniles before Alloa manager Paul Hartley made his move for the player following a recommendation from the club’s Head of Youth Graeme Liveston who worked with Stokes at United. Hartley said: "I am delighted to bring Gavin in and I am sure he will be adding value at a first team level soon."
