No escape being looked for from the Spiders web Queen’s Park’s head coach Gardner Speirs will be sticking with the Hampden club for another couple of year after agreeing a new deal with the amateur club. The 47 year old joined the Spiders back in January 2008 after he moved from being assistant manager at Partick Thistle, to take over from Billy Stark who had taken on the Scotland under-21 responsibility. Speirs, whose current contract runs out at the end of the month, led his side to the end of season play-offs last season. Speirs said: “I was delighted when we started discussing a new deal several weeks ago. We have given ourselves a platform to build on after reaching the play-offs this term and I am delighted to have the opportunity to take the club forward. It is always good to work at the club full of good people and that is the case at Hampden.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba.net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba.net)This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
