Spur Rangers On

Rangers squad could be boosted by two new faces from Spurs. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is willing to let Jake Livermore and Bongani Khumalo head to Glasgow and join Rangers on loan. Redknapp has spoken to Ally McCoist regarding a couple of possible temporary deals. He regards Livermore and Khumalo as good long-term prospects at White Hart Lane but is not sure they would play regularly this season and feels they could benefit from time elsewhere. Midfielder Livermore has already had a number of loan spells in his fledgling professional career and Redknapp could now be set to send him to Rangers. Khumalo only moved to White Hart Lane in January and spent the second half of last season with Preston in the Championship.   Redknapp said: "They are looking for some loans and I mentioned one or two lads that we would loan out if they are interested. Jake Livermore I think is going to come through and be a top player. He has a great attitude and is a fantastic boy. He has been out on loan a few times and he has been unlucky really. We have got lots of midfielders and he has not really had the opportunity, but Glasgow Rangers were interested in loaning him, and he is a player I would loan out again. That would be good for him. And there is another young lad, Bongani, a central defender who we took from South Africa, played in the World Cup. He went to Preston last year when he first came over and he needs to get out and get more experience, but he would do well at Rangers I am sure."
