Springtime For Alba Cup
No let up in the weather means a spring cup final for Queen of the South and Ross County. The final of the Alba Cup was one of the games which was postponed due to the weather on Sunday. There was some hope that the game between Queen of the South and Ross County would be played this weekend but the continuation of the snow means that was a forelorn hope. SFL Operations Director David Thomson said: “After consultation with the clubs and police, as well as looking at predicted weather conditions, the game has been postponed until 2011.”A new date has yet to be identified for the final but it looks odds on that fans with tickets will have to hang onto them a while yet with dates in March and April 2011 under consideration.
