SPL Survival Fight Gets New Volunteer

Dunfermline will be playing every game from now on as part of a relegation fight.

Dunfermline need as much help as they can garner as they fight for their SPL existence and have signed midfielder Mark Kerr until the end of the season. Kerr made more than 300 appearances in Scottish football with Falkirk, Dundee United and Aberdeen and was most recently plying his trade with Asteras Triplois.

His move is as a free agent after being released by the Greek side. Dunfermline will have to hope for International clearance arrives before Saturday if Kerr is to be included in the squad for Saturday's away game with Kilmarnock. 

Pars manager Jim McIntyre said: "We are signing a player of real quality who will give us real energy in the middle of the park. He is a box-to-box midfielder, he can play the holding role or an attacking midfielder role, so he gives us good options."
