Danny Devine wants to play up here

Inverness are talking to defender Danny Devine with a view to him heading north this month. Devine spent the first half of the season on loan at Wrexham but has now been released from his contract by Fleetwood. The centre-back began his career with Preston North End where he made 15 appearances before moving to Fleetwood in the summer of 2012. However, he was loaned out immediately and didn't play for the club. Wrexham had hoped he would sign for them on a permanent basis but Devine has indicated he would be happy to ply his trade in the SPL.  Devine said: "I'm unlikely to be signing with Wrexham. I'm in talks with Inverness and it looks like I'll be joining them. I've got a big decision to make about my future and while I've enjoyed every moment of my time with Wrexham, I've been offered a brilliant opportunity to play in the SPL." Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell said the Belfast-born player is set to sign for Inverness.  He said: "We offered him a contract, but the SPL was too much of a draw for him. He goes up there with our wishes but still a little bit disappointed with the way that it's panned out."
