Preparations for the new season are gathering pace accross the country.

Queen’s Park are looking to win promotion from the Third Division and are making preparations for next season no matter where they play. They have secured the signatures of four of their current squad for the 2012-13 campaign. Midfielder David Anderson has been attracting interest from clubs in Scotland and England but has decided to stick with the Spiders.

Head coach Gardner Speirs is glad to see that top goalscorer Jamie Longworth, who was also being scouted by other teams, has signed on as well. Winner of March’s IRN-BRU Young Player of the Month Award from across the 3 SFL Divisions, winger Owen Ronald has also opted to stay.

The final member of the re-signed quintet is former Cowdenbeath and St Mirren full back Peter Bradley. Speirs said: "It is an excellent start to our plans for next season. All four players could have chosen to go elsewhere but they have chosen to remain at Queen’s Park and now they can concentrate on helping our promotion push this season."
