Javier Amaya is looking for full-time football and does not see Annan as the right route to achieve that aim Javier Amaya’s stay at Annan has been a brief one with the former Raith Rovers striker leaving the Third Division side's Galabank ground little more than six weeks after joining them. Spaniard Amaya started two games and made three substitute appearances during his time in Black and Gold scoring once in a Scottish Cup replay against Preston Athletic. Annan boss Harry Cairney said: "Javier has been released from the club, and we wish him well and hopes he finds a club that will allow him to pursue his dream of full-time football."Queen of the South striker Sean O’Connor has stepped in to fill the gap created by Amaya's departure with the former Dundee United man making a scoring start to his month long loan deal against Stranraer at the weekend.
