Soares Wants To Progress

Is it still the case to come to Scotland and win a place back in England?

Stoke midfielder Tom Soares jumped at the chance when he heard that Hibs were interested in a loan deal for his services. The midfielder, who has played in the Premier League with the Potters and Crystal Palace, agreed a switch to Edinburgh for the rest of the season. Soares said: "As soon as I heard Hibs were interested, I was keen for the move to happen because they are one of the biggest clubs in Scotland. My career has sort of stopped and as a player you never want that to happen. You always want to strive towards bigger and better things. I think the way to do that is by getting back playing and showing everyone I'm still about. I need to make a name for myself again. I feel I've got quite a bit of experience and hopefully I can bring that to what is quite a young squad."
