Sean O'Connor is not rushing things as he tests his troublesome knee Sean O’Connor is still officially retired from football despite playing for Annan Athletic as a trialist on Saturday in their 3-3 game with Elgin. He has been training with Queen of the South but manager Gordon Chisholm has denied that the burly striker has re-signed for the club. The front-man retired from the game last season because of a long standing knee problem. Chisholm said: "Sean has kept himself in shape and we would love to have a fit-again Sean O'Connor in our ranks but we can not just put him straight into the first team and see if his knee holds up at this level. He has agreed to turn out in the short term for Annan as a trialist and we will see how that goes before taking things further. The transfer deadline for this type of deal is the end of March so I am not closing the door on anything but at the moment Sean is not our player.” Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)Admin Team (admin@scottishfitba net)This is Scottish-Fitba.Net
