All change for season 2013-14

SFA Chief executive Stewart Regan welcomed the news on today's vote by SFL clubs in favour of league reconstruction proposals which should be in place in time for next season. The SFL clubs met just twenty-four hours after the SFA members approved the formation of the Scottish Lowland Football League, a fundamental part of the pyramid structure recommended in the McLeish Review of Scottish football. It means the five principles of a single league body, fairer financial distribution, play-offs, parachute payments and pyramid can all now be worked on in the coming weeks. Regan said: "It is a real step forward and something the whole of Scottish football will benefit from.  From the Scottish FA’s perspective the work starts now in harmonising our own rule book and articles to reflect a single league body, to rationalise the Judicial Panel Protocol and to make sure everything is in place for the new season."
